With running on gas ,I would collect into smaller containers, even on strip runs ,so the amount at risk of fire is a lot less,a fire extingwisher is a must have as well ,plus good ventilation.cheers hillzabilly ;-)

Sounds fine ta me since ya only had 1/3 of a load in the boiler ,with wash that foams like rum and some grain washes you may not allways be able to run flat out any way ,without it pukeing.cheers hillzabilly ;-)

Nah it's more to do with unfermented sugars in the wash that lead it to puke ;-)

I got a 4 inch sight glass so I can see what's happening inside of it
I noticed it was only boiling around the edges where we welded the base on
Not in the middle like a normal pan... Will boiling chips help?

What type of burner and reg do you have? Sounds like your not throwing enough power at it

It's a normal cast iron 3 ring burner...
I use it for melting lead for sinkers so would have thought it be plenty

Recon you need a HP spiral burner or similar for a boiler that size. :handgestures-thumbupleft:

:text-+1: At least a high pressure reg for your burner mate, if you can't hear it roar it isn't working hard enough ;-)
