Try it and send me a sample I'll let you how close it is to cachaca

I did 3kg rapadura with 3kg of raw sugar. Litterally just tasted like brown sugar. I aged it about 4months. Gave up and blended it into other mcrum i had.. perhaps needed more time but didnt like were it was heading
