Speidel Braumeister 120L

Keen to try something larger than my 50L tanks.

Have folks used this fermenter before? Is it any good?

Also, if I only fill with 100L, does too much air in the tank effect anything? For the life of me I can’t see how it would but best ask.

That’s a lot of money to spend on a fermenter especially when a 200L drum could be had a lot cheaper.
But to answer the question, there is no issue leaving head space as it will be filled with C02 pretty quick.

I reckon it would only be worth that kind of money for a super hardcore beer brewer.

Any reason you need a stainless conical fermenter other than the 120l capacity?

Sorry folks - my mistake. I’m looking at the plastic one at $120. Not the fancy stainless number. Keen to make higher volume washes.

If the conical shape is optional, Have a search for olive barrel / drums 220litres and a big screwtop lid, cheap as in Vic ($25), dearer the further north you go
